lo del verano y el aletargamiento es verdad. Cual lagartija me tuesto y sólo tengo ganas de beber agua y estirarme en cualquier sofa o camita. Es difícil además luchar contra la desaceleración de lo que te rodea, el trabajo disminuye, las tiendas cierran unos días, tus bares preferidos también y los amigos comienzan a ir y venir..... rutina desaparecida y .... convéncete, nada será igual hasta que llegue el mes de septiembre en que habrá que volver a engrasar las ruedas, así que he decidido vencer la pereza y recopilar un monton de notas que tenía pendientes de colgar por si pueden ser interesantes ( espero que sí).
Tiendas que han abierto: Sabon ( cosmetica natural israelí directa del Mar Muerto, las sales exfoliantes llevan incorporado aceite y despues te rascarte quedas suaaaaave e hidratada, buenísimas)/ Delishop Paseo San Juan (el delishop de siempre con utensilios de cocina, y clases de cocina a la hora de comer donde cocinas con el cocinero y te comes lo que has hecho y solo con productos que encuentras en la tienda). Macys y Bloomindale ya venden on line en Barcelona.
Tiendas que han cerrado: Maternity in the city ( por fin, ahora venden calentadores electricos), Medex ( ahora venden colchones).
Tenemos mercado vintage cada domingo por el raval: "vintage sundays" un poco perroflauta pero bien.

Catalina Estrada and Pancho Tolchinsky are both worth checking out. They actually do collaborate on some projects, through a beautiful collage of Tolchinsky´s photography and Estrada´s graphic imaginary world. Yes he is back, and the way animation used to be, no computers, no 3D or 4D... yes 4D we actually had the experience at the Vancouver aquarium. Not only do they give you the 3D glasses but also splash you when the dolphins swim, the smell of banana invades you when the monkey eats, and the whole seat vibrates when the characters jump and run. OK back to Winnie the Pooh, it is only 69 minutes long, which is ideal for the little ones. It acknowledges that adults are watching and it is very smart about how it shows that the dialogs between the characters are coming from a kid playing with his stuffed animals. The whole story is about looking for Eeyore´s tail, and then looking for Christopher Robin, nothing too crazy just a nice and simple story for the kids to follow. Even though the story line is nothing out of this world, it is refreshing to see creativity at such a natural level. There is a part in the movie where the animals use the letters of the story book to help them get out of trouble. A great recognition of BOOKS the forgotten vintage ipads, which I have seen many children handling all over Vancouver. We are so worried about stimulating our children that there is the ever constant danger to over do it. Believe me the HUGE screen and stereo sound are enough, a nice story, soft tones, and just what you need on a Sunday afternoon on a rainy summer day. I give this movie a big KISS : Keep It Simple Super Star!
